Jag skrev för några dfagar sedan ett lite smått elakt brev till Dole om deras stämning och tillbakadragande av denna, samt vägran att betala filmarens advokatkostnader, och kan ni tänka er, JAG FICK SVAR!!!
En förklaring från deras sida om sin "oskuld" som jag har svårt att ta till mig, jag tror inte på dem, men var förvånad att de bemödade sig att SVARA!

Thank you for your comments regarding the recent movie "Bananas!*", which focused on a 2008 legal case involving Dole Food Company.
Dole believes wholeheartedly in the freedom of speech. However, those who exercise that right must do so with a responsibility to the truth. Dole has not attempted to censor "Bananas!*", and has never sought any judicial order preventing its screening. Dole urged the filmmakers and the Los Angeles Film Festival to act responsibly in the face of overwhelming evidence that the film is based on falsehood and deceit. Indeed, Dole went to great lengths to inform the filmmakers of the truth, and to encourage them to refrain from viewing the film publicly unless it was revised to acknowledge the facts. Unfortunately, the filmmakers and the film festival declined.
Dole representatives viewed the film on June 20, 2009 at the LA Film Festival. The very premise of "Bananas!*" is flawed. The film contains several misrepresentations and allegations that are provably false and defamatory to Dole. Its central character, Juan J. Dominguez, was found by a California court to have perpetrated a fraud in the very trial depicted in the film. We are deeply concerned about the potential impact of the false accusations made in this supposedly fact-based film, and are taking appropriate steps to defend Dole's reputation in light of them.
